Mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus were recently netted in Nuevo, prompting health officials today to remind residents to take precautions this summer. According to the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health, a state-run lab confirmed that mosquito samples collected two days ago in the area of Mystic Field, just off the Ramona Expressway at Orange Street, had tested positive for West Nile.
