Scott Weiland fell off the wagon and was doing crack cocaine during the days before his death, according to TMZ, citing musical sources close to the former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer. The website says multiple “legendary” musicians were communicating with one another four days before Weiland died, on Thursday in Bloomington, Minnesota, on his tour bus.
