Regarding the front-page article about pediatric practices refusing to accept children who were not vaccinated: Major kudos to the pediatricians for organizing and taking on this dangerous, vain, anti-scientific and selfish risk to our offspring. The article pointed out that the Cape and Islands have one of the highest rates of vaccine refusal in the state and, shockingly, Martha’s Vineyard had a rate approaching 30 percent, numbers seen only in Appalachia and the narcissistic strongholds of California.
