A man who underwent a kidney transplant is competing in a national competition to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation. Steve Fry, 37, of Halstead, is taking part in archery, badminton and volleyball competitions as he represents Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, in Newcastle, which started on Thursday.
