State agriculture officials are urging poultry and bird owners to be vigilant after avian flu was reported in Oregon and Washington state. State Veterinarian Dr. Heather Hirst said in a news release on Wednesday that while there are no immediate concerns in Delaware, avian flu can spread quickly.
