Kentucky’s major candidates for governor sharply differed on health care, pensions and medical marijuana during a televised debate in the state’s two largest media markets, one week before the election. Republican Matt Bevin said he would scale back the expansion of the state’s Medicaid program because the state cannot afford to continue paying for the health insurance of a quarter of the state’s population.
