A proposed California initiative that would require adult film producers to provide condoms on set, pay for HIV/AIDS testing and vaccines and maintain strict record keeping has been submitted to the Attorney General’s office and is awaiting approval to move forward with a signature campaign. Called the California Safer Sex in the Adult Film Industry Act, the initiative was submitted last week by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and proposes stricter enforcement by the state’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
