For nearly two decades, Kilgore resident Larry Grant sat in his motorized chair on the side of Loop 259 in Kilgore waving and smiling at everyone who passed by. Grant’s son John said 18 years ago Larry suffered a stroke following a heart transplant, which paralyzed the right side of his body.
